Meet John Connolly of SUCCESS! Real Estate
Today we’d like to introduce you to John Connolly.
Thanks for sharing your story with us John. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I got involved in real estate in 1993 when a family member asked me to walk them through the sales process. After the transaction closed, both the realtor involved and my family’s attorney encouraged me to embark on a real estate career.
From there I aligned myself with SUCCESS! Real Estate – which at the time was a rapidly growing entrepreneurial type firm. Not long after joining the company I created my first team followed by much success. In 2006 SUCCESS! asked me to become one of their Vice Presidents. In addition to becoming Vice President, I also took on the role of Mentor Leadership Principal.
It has always been my philosophy that in order to be a successful leader I must maintain my own sales skills. That being said I continue to both List and Sell property as well as invest in real estate my self.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not always been a smooth road.
Real Estate crashes of 2008. When the banking industry collapsed we immediately began to see home values drop through the floor. First thing I did was to educate myself on working with bank owned and distressed properties. That education guided me through being able to assist homeowners through the short sale process. This allowed me to be able to position these homeowners to enter back into the home ownership market as soon as they became financially stable.
